Giving back
"Giving back" has always been self-evident for Dr. Linde and his entire family. In the 80s and 90s, Dr. Linde spent many months in South Africa where he was volunteering at bush hospitals (e.g. in the slums of Manguzi close to Durban, or at the Baragnawath hospital in Soweto).
Dr. Linde has built four schools so far in Laos and Cambodia with the support of Child's Dream. Child's Dream is a charitable, not-for-profit organization − founded by two former Swiss banking directors − dedicated to empowering marginalized children and youth in the Mekong Sub-Region (Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia). Their activities range from health interventions for children, construction of educational facilities, creation of youth employment centers... to providing university scholarships. The most remarkable aspect about Child's Dream is that less than 8% of all donations flow into the administration of the organization (normal for NGOs: 20-50%). A dedicated and highly efficient team of local as well as international experts make sure day by day that help arrives where it is needed most.
